Like the other intergovernmental universities, EUCLID is chartered by intergovernmental agreements governed by international law. The initial agreement (UNTS 49006, entry into force 2008) was updated in 2009 as “Updated Framework Agreement regarding the Parties’ Participation in EUCLID as Constituted and Defined herein” (UNTS 49007).
