EUCLID (Euclid University), in collaboration with its academic partners — notably EULER (The Euler-Franeker Memorial University) — organizes a rich program of PhD-level seminars and special academic events on an annual and semi-annual basis. These gatherings provide doctoral candidates, faculty, and invited experts with opportunities for in-depth scholarly exchange, research collaboration, dissertation progress reviews, and professional networking in a truly international setting.
The seminars are designed to support EUCLID’s PhD students throughout their doctoral journey while fostering dialogue on global issues in diplomacy, sustainable development, global health, interfaith studies, and public administration.
Seminar Locations and Formats
EUCLID and its partners host these events at the following strategic locations:
- Gambia Headquarters (Banjul, The Gambia) Held at EUCLID’s official Commonwealth / ECOWAS Headquarters in Brusubi, these seminars offer a dynamic African-based platform for doctoral research presentations and policy-focused discussions.
- Amsterdam Liaison Office – World Trade Center (WTC), Netherlands (joint with EULER) Co-organized with EULER, these European seminars take place at the modern WTC Schiphol facility and bring together PhD candidates, faculty, and European partners for advanced academic sessions.
- United Nations Headquarters (New York) EUCLID regularly organizes semi-annual side events at the UN Headquarters in New York. These high-profile sessions allow doctoral researchers to present their work in a multilateral diplomatic environment, often aligned with major UN conferences and sustainable development agendas.
- Château de l’Hermitage, France (joint EUCLID–EULER EU Seminar Facility) Located in Vendée (photo above), this historic château serves as the dedicated EU seminar venue. In addition to PhD seminars (with lodging on-site), the facility hosts institutional meetings, internal faculty training, and video production for EUCLID and EULER academic content.
- Curaçao (Willemstad) With EULER as the lead institution, seminars are hosted at EULER’s headquarters in the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Caribbean). These events emphasize the unique Caribbean–European academic perspective within the partnership.
Additional Opportunities Seminars are also regularly scheduled on the sidelines of EUCLID’s semi-annual convocations (graduation ceremonies). These side events allow graduating PhD candidates to present their dissertations and engage with the broader academic community in a celebratory yet scholarly atmosphere.
