Pr Ludovic Chan-Tung

Associate Professor of International Law

Dr. Ludovic Chan-Tung is Associate Professor of International Law at EUCLID. A French legal scholar with deep expertise in public international law, he brings rigorous academic insight and practical perspective on treaty law, European legal frameworks, and global governance to the university's intergovernmental programs.

He holds a Master's degree in International and European Law and a PhD in Public Law, both earned from the University of Grenoble, France. In parallel to his role at EUCLID, Dr. Chan-Tung serves as Associate Professor at the University of Grenoble, maintaining an active dual academic affiliation that strengthens the connection between scholarly research and real-world international legal practice.

His research and teaching interests focus on International Law, Treaty Law, European Law, Global Education, and the study of global legal instruments. He is the author of the book L'opposabilité en droit international (Mare & Martin, 2016), a significant contribution to the field that continues to inform his ongoing scholarship and writing on contemporary international legal issues.

Dr. Chan-Tung joined EUCLID in 2019 and remains deeply committed to advancing the university's mission through accessible, high-quality instruction that equips students with both theoretical depth and applied understanding of international law.

Dr. Ludovic Chan-Tung’s research and scholarly interests are centered on Public International Law, with a particular focus on Treaty Law, the opposability of international norms, European Law, Global Education, and the study of global legal instruments. His work examines the practical application and enforceability of treaties and other international legal frameworks in a rapidly evolving global context. He is the author of the book L’opposabilité en droit international (Mare & Martin, 2016), a significant contribution to the literature on international law that continues to inform contemporary debates in the field. Dr. Chan-Tung remains actively engaged in further research and writing on global legal instruments and their role in international governance.
