Prof. Heron Gezahegn Gebretsadik

Professor of Oral & Global Health

Heron Gezahegn Gebretsadik is a craniofacial reconstructive surgeon, clinical researcher, epidemiologist, and public health professional with a multidisciplinary background spanning clinical medicine, population health, and the social sciences. He serves as a medical and scientific advisor and clinical scientist primarily in the craniomaxillofacial (CMF) clinical research division at the AO ITC, AO Foundation. He is a Professor of Oral and Global Public Health at Euclid University, with research interests focused on neglected craniofacial conditions and broader global health challenges.

In addition to his clinical and research work, Heron's academic training extends to International Affairs and Diplomacy, as well as International Organization Leadership. This interdisciplinary foundation reflects his broader engagement with global health policy and leadership, alongside his continued focus on advancing research in the CMF field.

Research & Interests:

Prof Gebretsadik's research work primarily explores the intersections between public health, oral/dental health, and organizational and research leadership. His scholarly output applies epidemiological and leadership frameworks to investigate issues related to oral implant surgery, public health leadership, and the management of neglected tropical diseases within a global health context.
