Ronald A. Desir, Ph.D., MBA, is a Professor of Practice-level scholar-practitioner and transformational executive specializing in cross-cultural leadership, global strategy, and executive management. Over the past 30 years, he has led organizations in strategy, management, financial services, logistics, diplomacy, and international relations across the USA, the Caribbean, and South America. His academic portfolio includes a Ph.D. in Diplomacy and International Affairs (EUCLID University), dual MBAs in Oil and Gas Management and General Management (University of Bedfordshire and Australian Institute of Business), and earlier degrees in management, marketing, industrial relations, and agriculture. Dr. Desir has served as a global strategy consultant, CEO, Board Chair, managing director, COO, and operations leader. He integrates cross-cultural leadership, board-level communication, and applied thought leadership into his teaching, supporting courses in Strategy, International Business, Leadership, Management Skills, Organizational Behavior, Business Ethics, Diplomacy, and International Relations at undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. levels.

Dr. Desir’s research and applied interests center on values-based leadership, diplomacy, international affairs, global strategy, and leading with HI (Human Intelligence) for AI. He explores how treaty-based and intergovernmental organizations, governments, corporations, and faith-based institutions can work together to advance sustainable development, ethical governance, and cross-cultural cooperation. He is interested in leadership collaboration between developed and emerging economies. He also studies how ethical and faith-informed frameworks shape policy and institutional behavior. His projects include case studies of cross-border organizational growth, the governance of international networks, and management systems that balance mission with profitability. He examines leadership with HI (Human Intelligence) in an AI (Artificial Intelligence) world. Drawing from his executive and consulting experience, he studies how leaders build cohesive global teams, handle regulatory and geopolitical complexity, and guide transformation in hybrid and remote settings. His teaching interests include Strategic Management, International Business, Leadership and Management Skills, Organizational Behavior, Business Ethics, Diplomacy and International Relations, Global Strategy and Cross-Cultural Management, Executive Communication and Leadership Development, Governance and Stakeholder Management, and Leadership in Nonprofit and For-Profit Organizations.
