Dr. Sejla Durbuzovic

Professor of Practice in Diplomacy and International Law

Dr. Sejla Durbuzovic is a Bosnian diplomat, academic, and expert in international law serving as Professor of Practice in Diplomacy and International Law at EUCLID (Euclid University), where she has been a faculty member since 2020 . She holds a Master's degree in State Management and Humanitarian Affairs from the University of Sarajevo and a PhD in Diplomacy and International Affairs from EUCLID. Her distinguished diplomatic career includes serving as Deputy Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations in New York (since January 2023), Acting Assistant Minister for Multilateral Affairs (2021–2022), and various roles at the Permanent Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN. She is based in Bosnia–Herzegovina.

Her teaching interests include international justice, diplomacy at the United Nations, and European affairs. Her research and creative works focus on international crime and justice, international cooperation, and European diplomacy. As an EUCLID alumna and active diplomat, she contributes practical insights into multilateral negotiations, the relationship between the International Criminal Court and the UN Security Council, and broader topics in global governance and international law.
