Sharew Niguse, PhD, is an accomplished public health professional with over 15 years of experience in program management, research, and Social and Behavior Change (SBC) across East and Southern Africa, the Middle East, and the Pacific. He holds a PhD in Global Health and Health Systems from EUCLID University, where his dissertation focused on childhood vaccination determinants in Ethiopia. Currently serving as an SBC Specialist at UNICEF's Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Office, he has provided technical leadership and capacity building for 21 country offices in nutrition, community health, and MHPSS. His prior roles include Nutrition SBC Advisor at SNV Ethiopia, SBC Specialist with UNICEF in Kiribati and Jordan (polio outbreak response), and Health Communication Specialist at WHO Ethiopia. He has also led major HIV impact assessments at ICAP Columbia University and supported Ethiopia's Ministry of Health on NTD elimination and national SBC guidelines.
