President Touadéra presides over 2025 convocation

Bangui, Central African Republic – November 6, 2026 – His Excellency Professor Faustin-Archange Touadéra, President of the Central African Republic, presided over the 2025 convocation ceremony of EUCLID (Euclid University), an intergovernmental university, held today in Bangui. The event marked a significant milestone in higher education and international cooperation, commemorating two decades since the establishment of EUCLID under President Touadéra’s foundational leadership.

During the ceremony, President Touadéra personally presented degrees to each graduating student, underscoring his deep commitment to academic excellence and the advancement of knowledge in the Central African Republic and beyond. The high-level graduating class included distinguished professionals and diplomats from across Africa and the world.

The ceremony was co-officiated by Professor Laurent Cleenewerck, Chairman of EUCLID’s Oversight Council, who joined President Touadéra in conferring the diplomas and addressing the graduates.

The event was graced by prominent government officials and international dignitaries, including Prime Minister Félix Moloua and the Minister of Higher Education Prof Jean-Laurent Syssa-Magalé, highlighting the strong support of the Central African government for EUCLID’s mission in promoting accessible, high-quality education in global affairs, sustainable development, and related fields.

Graduates in attendance included a State Minister from Ethiopia, an Ambassador of Sierra Leone, a Minister Counsellor of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Consul General of Burundi in Morocco, as well as several high-ranking military officers from various nations, reflecting the international prestige and diplomatic significance of the occasion.

President Touadéra, a distinguished academic in his own right, holds two PhDs in Mathematics and previously served as Rector of the University of Bangui from 2005 to 2008, following his tenure as Vice-Chancellor. His academic background and leadership in education have long been pillars of his public service, and his active participation in today’s convocation reflects his enduring dedication to fostering intellectual growth and institutional development.

EUCLID, established in 2008 as an intergovernmental organization with a university charter, continues to serve as a platform for training diplomats, civil servants, and professionals worldwide. The 2025 convocation in Bangui reinforces the strong ties between EUCLID and the Central African Republic, as well as its role in advancing global education standards.
