Anthony Félix

Lecturer in Global Security, Military and Peacekeeping Studies

Anthony Félix is a Swiss scholar-practitioner and Doctoral Program Coordinator at EUCLID University in Global Security, Military and Peacekeeping Studies. He holds an MSc in Diplomacy and a BA in Public Policy from ETH Zurich, and is currently pursuing a PhD. Professionally, he serves as Multilateral Military Cooperation Officer in Bern, strengthening Switzerland's ties with NATO and the EU, managing Partnership for Peace courses, and designing defense cooperation concepts. Previously, as Chief of Management Service and Deputy Chief of Staff in the Operations Command, he led administrative reform, digitalization, and knowledge management. He also served with KFOR in Kosovo as Assessment Chief Deputy, and held instructional roles in the Swiss Armed Forces. He is fluent in French, professionally proficient in German and English, and has working knowledge of Italian

Research & Interests:

His research focuses on peacekeeping, defense diplomacy, multilateral military cooperation, security governance, and institutional adaptation in complex public organizations. He is especially interested in European and transatlantic security architectures, the role of small/neutral states in multilateral defense, civil-military relations, command and control, strategic planning, and democratic governance of security institutions. His work integrates operational experience with institutional analysis, exploring how military and public organizations generate knowledge, shape decision-making, and balance effectiveness with legitimacy. He also examines military education, leadership training, and the interaction between security policy, diplomacy, peace-support operations, and governance under changing geopolitical conditions, grounded in a comparative, practice-informed, and normatively committed approach to global security and peace.
