Dr. Michael Frimpong is a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) specialist, management consultant, and university faculty member with over 15 years of experience in public-sector governance, enterprise productivity, development programs, and higher education. His work bridges academic scholarship and applied consultancy, with a focus on results-based management, productivity improvement, and strengthening institutional performance.
Since 2010, Dr. Frimpong has served as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), teaching Project Management, Total Quality Management (TQM), and Strategic Operations Management at postgraduate and executive levels. His teaching philosophy emphasizes experiential, student-centered learning. He integrates case studies, simulations, and applied projects to connect theory with practice, equipping students with competencies in planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. He promotes inclusive learning environments and evidence-based decision-making using both qualitative and quantitative analytical tools.
Dr. Frimpong holds a PhD in Monitoring, Measurement, and Evaluation from EUCLID University (2022–2025). His doctoral research examined governance structures underpinning M&E systems in Ghana's public sector, with emphasis on accountability mechanisms, institutional design, performance measurement gaps, and evidence utilization in policymaking, particularly within education reform initiatives such as the Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP). He earned an MSc in Project Management from the University of Sunderland, United Kingdom, and holds an MPhil (Part I) and a BA in Sociology from the University of Ghana. His professional training includes Kaizen and Total Quality Management (Malaysia Productivity Corporation), Commercial Systems Circulation (AIBO, Beijing), and Productivity Ecosystems for Decent Work (ITC‑ILO). He is a Certified ILO SCORE Trainer.
