He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals and a former CEO of a credit cooperative. He has over 15 years of professional experience spanning credit documentation, audit, product development, and institutional governance, including roles at Maybank and Eastspring Investments.
He holds a BSc in Finance (First Class Honours) from University College Dublin and an LLM in Islamic Law and Finance (Dean's list)from Singapore Management University and has completed a DBA awarded by the Chartered Association of Continuing Education (Hong Kong), with academic validation from Jesselton University College (Malaysia). He has received traditional isnād-based training in Islamic sciences, including the study of Matn al-Ājurrūmiyyah, completion of talaqqī of the 30 juzʾ of the Qur'an, Dalā'il al-Khayrāt, al-Arbaʿīn al-Nawawiyyah, al-ʿAqīdah al-Ṭaḥāwiyyah, al-Waraqāt, as well as uṣūl al-fiqh and fiqh al-taḥawwulāt.
