Prof. Norbert Edomah

Professor of Energy Systems & Policy

Professor Norbert Edomah is an interdisciplinary energy systems engineer, with over two decades of professional experience in the energy field spanning across industry and academia. His experience in the manufacturing and engineering services sector spans plant operations and maintenance to sales, marketing and business development of engineering products and solutions with leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as Schneider Electric and TetraPak. He completed his doctorate degree in Energy Systems and Environmental Sustainability in 2017 at the Global Sustainability Institute, Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Research & Interests:

His research focuses on understanding how people respond to (and influence) changes in energy systems and how these interactions impact energy policy. His principal research lie in the multidisciplinary field of energy transitions, energy policy, electricity planning and sustainability. He is on the editorial board of some academic journals published by reputable publishers. He serves as project funding bid reviewer for the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the National Research Council, Canada. He was the 2025 Anglia Ruskin University Vice Chancellors Alumni Sustainability Champion Award winner. He is a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council (UK) and a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Advance-HE) UK.

These interactions are not limited to academic questions; they often evolve into ongoing mentorship relationships where faculty serve as professional and academic role models. Students benefit from professors’ real-world experience in global affairs, sustainable development, diplomacy, and related fields, gaining practical insights that complement the formal curriculum.

The emphasis is on genuine relationship building. Many students develop lasting professional connections with their professors, who actively support their academic progress and post-graduation objectives. This accessible, human-centered faculty model is a defining feature of the EUCLID experience, designed to foster intellectual growth, professional maturity, and meaningful scholarly collaboration.
